IFS-Informed Supervision & Peer Consultation

For psychologists, registrars, counsellors and therapists seeking reflective, trauma-informed supervision

Available via secure telehealth

Clinical supervision is more than just about improving technique — it can enhance how you show up in the room, how you hold complexity, and how sustainably you can practise. I offer PsyBA-approved clinical supervision that integrates an IFS-informed lens with attachment theory, developmental trauma perspectives, mindfulness, and interpersonal neurobiology.

How this Approach Can Support You as a therapist

  • Deepen self-awareness and therapeutic presence

  • Strengthen case conceptualisation, especially with trauma and complex presentations

  • Navigate clinical, ethical and relational challenges with greater clarity and confidence

  • Develop greater internal balance and self-leadership in your work

  • Integrate multiple therapeutic approaches while staying grounded and safe

Roberto’s Background and Focus in Supervision

As a Clinical Psychologist and board-approved supervisor, Roberto brings extensive experience from child protection, acute and community mental health, and work with ex-military personnel and first responders. In supervision he draws on:

  • An IFS-informed framework for understanding both client systems and the therapist’s internal experience

  • A trauma-informed and attachment-based lens

  • Systemic awareness (individual, relational and organisational contexts)

  • Practical experience with high-risk and complex presentations

Supervision is provided in line with the 2025 Code of Conduct and PsyBA supervision guidelines and professional standards, supporting ethical, reflective, and developmentally appropriate practice. It is tailored by taking into account developmental needs and scope of practice

Supervision may be helpful whether you are beginning to explore IFS concepts or are an experienced clinician wanting to integrate multiple therapeutic approaches while maintaining clarity, safety, and depth in your work

Please note: While Roberto uses IFS concepts extensively in his clinical work and bring an IFS-informed perspective to supervision,, he is not an IFS Institute–certified supervisor and cannot provide official supervision toward IFS certification.

Roberto is a PsyBA-approved supervisor for psychologists, and offers IFS-informed supervision intended to enrich clinical practice rather than fulfil IFS certification requirements.

For certification-specific supervision, please refer to the official IFS Institute list of approved supervisors. site IFS Institute to find Supervisors Approved for Certification Support.
